Supercross will undergo a 'Pink' transformation this weekend in Anaheim to show their support and help promote Breast Cancer Awareness, including contributions to the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in Orange County.
Expect to see a lot of masculine Supercross guys wearing pink riding gear, or somehow sporting the color to show their support for this great cause. Also it is a Valentines weekend, so many of the guys are getting all kinds of lady love ...

Team San Manuel Yamaha Red Bull’s James Stewart had a disappointing night in Jacksonville on Saturday when a crash with several other riders, after the first turn on the track, took him out of the race. Starting out the day posting the fastest lap times and dominating his heat race, Stewart looked confident and ready to go. Stewart came out strong in the Main, getting a good start through the first turn, when there was an unexpected pileup leading into the first straightaway, resulting in a race ending crash. Though the Asterisk medical crew assisted him off of the track, further evaluation showed no signs of serious injury. Banged up and bruised, Stewart will spend the week recovering and preparing to race Toronto. “I was really hoping to pull this one out,” Stewart said. “It was my home state, I’m familiar with the tracks, all my fans were there cheering me on and it’s just really disappointing for me, my team, my sponsors and my fans. It’s all about Toronto and the rest of the season now.”

MXGirls: There is one thing we don't need to wonder about anymore regarding part of the future of AMA womens Motocross - and that is regards to their 2010 AMA Womens Motocross National Numbers The series is growing, getting more organized, and I really like the sound of that!
I wanted to remind everyone of one the coolest and most rewarding "fun" races of the year, A Day in the Dirt. It's right around the corner, taking place at LACR in Palmdale, California on Thanksgiving weekend. This year I will be at the event, but you will only find me trackside to make sure the Womens race, which goes down on Saturday, gets showcased here at MXGirls at Supercross.com.
The track layout is pretty sweet as you can see from the image below, and if you raced it last year (like I did) then get back on the entry list for 2009 because the track is going to be soooo fun!
If you are wondering why I am not racing it this year, its simple: I want to cover it better for MXGirls at Supercross.com, and ... I only have two knees and both have meniscus tears in them. And I will be cheering on my friends! Go Bridget Hill (first place last year in the womens intermediate class!) and Laurie Carey!!

Here I am having a BLAST at 'A Day in the Dirt' 2008, took 2nd place behind Bonnie Warch in the Womens 30+ Expert Class

This is the track layout for A Day in the Dirt 2009!

A couple of days ago I touched based with top female motocross racer and X Games 2008 Bronze Medalist Tatum Sik, so make sure you check out this quick little interview I did with her about what, when, why and how she is doing!
I always have one of our SoCal local riders on my mind because of her awesome engery and her infectous smile, not to mention, she does have one of the coolest names on the gate. Its been way to long since I've seen her in the headlines, so I reached out to Tatum Sik from for an update.
In 2008 Tatum had a great year - an invite to be part of the first-ever Womens Moto X at the X Games. And you could find Tatum racing at the AMA Women's National Motocross Series. Tatum was definitely on a high.
With this tremendous success, Tatum was gearing up for the 2009 race season .... but for some reason 2009 wasn't meant to happen as she wanted, and here is what Tatum has to say:
How would you best recap your 2009 WMX Outdoor National Season?
09 Outdoors was terrible! I went into the WMX Outdoors race series with a knee injury that progressively got worse with each moto. I had to re-look my race year and figure out how I was going to make something happen and heal up at the same time, so my plan went from going to all the WMX rounds to just getting through X Games.
You were looking awesome at XGames, ready to reclaim your position on the podium, what happened?
I was so bummed on X games! Supercross is my thing! I had almost everything dialed in on the track during our two practice rounds and my speed felt great as well as being really comfortable on the track. It all started with a bad start, the start killed it! And downhill from there! I had zero patience, I wanted my title back ... and it all ended when I did a really nice endo on a step up. The crash left me pretty beaten up, with some gnarly road-rash, as well as a broken wrist, collarbone, and dislocated shoulder.

No Tatum was not in the Best Trick Contest. WMA Racers = Harcore
Are you healthy now? Are you back on the bike? Training?
Not healthy yet. I still have a few more weeks left, but I'm back in the gym and doing some rehab so I'll be healthy when I can start to ride again. I had full knee reconstruction surgery, so thats why I've been sitting on the couch forever! Haha!

I think I saw you on a episode of Nitro Circus??
Yep. I was on Nitro Circus a while back but not sure what is goin' down in the future.
Plans for 2010?
2010 - Working on locking down sponsors, getting everything organized, so I can be fully prepared. I just wanna race as many local and WMX Outdoor Nationals as I can. Definitely X Games if they decide to invite me back, ... yes I have to be invited back to race. It's the real deal!

Oh ... and here is a follow up picture from my Halloween Festivities! I had a fun Halloween with my family! Kept it real and real fun! Here is my nephew Griffin aka Freddy Krueger trying to end Little Red Ridinghood's life! LOL - Goodtimes!

Steffi has been training hard on the bike since mid December and in Valence tests herself against a field of male riders.

At the French pre-season special, she faces off with a strong lineup of riders including those from the Nestaan JM Racing KTM squad led by Joel Roelants, Yentel Martens and young talents like 125 European champion Jordi Tixier of France and Austrian Pascal Rauchenecker. Also in the field are other KTM riders like British rider Nathan Parker (PROPPA-COM KTM and French riders Loïc Leonce (B G R KTM) and Loïc Larrieu (WOLFF KTM). But these and other top riders hold no fear for Steffi who his very well known for her toughness, skill and courage when attacking any MX track.

DC Moto TF Day with Ryan MoraisRyan Morais' goal for a 2010 West Coast Lites Supercross championship came to a screeching halt in just the 3rd round of the series, when another racer landed on the back on his bike, sending both riders crashing to the ground. This unfortunate crash would sideline Ryan for a few rounds, but he would eventually return to racing action in Seattle and finish the season 10th overall points. When the AMA Motocross Nationals came into around, Ryan was ready to get back to racing, but going into the second round he was once again out with an injury. Ryan has been busy the past few months, but is back and ready to set some new goals for the upcoming 2011 series. I spoke with Ryan about what he learned over the past year and his prospects for the new season.
Angela: Well Ryan, here we are just a few short weeks until the first Supercross race of the season; let's talk about sponsors and the bike? Ryan: Yeah, DC Shoes stepped up recently and is sponsoring the entire Rockstar Energy Suzuki Team, so I am really excited to be a part of it. I have only been with this sponsor for a few days now and they're really taken care of the team. I'm with the same team as last year, Rockstar Energy Suzuki, with the same mechanic (Rene Zapata), and the same team manager, and owner, everything is pretty much the same, but Suzuki really is stepping up this year. Last year we were on a 2009 carburetor bike, so we were kind of behind the ball, but this year we are on the new 2011 fuel injected, the whole new chassis and everything, and Suzuki has really helped us out with factory support. Our bikes are pretty much in house bikes, running Shoei Suspension, so everything is looking great. Everyone has been doing a great job and the people at Yoshimura have been doing a lot of testing and getting our bikes dialed in, so I'm excited for Anaheim 1. Our bike should be one of the best ones out there, making things really competitive, and that is very cool. Racing was more like survival. The start strait had half a foot of water laying over a large part of it. Ruts developed during the night that went down to the ply underlying the dirt and were trapping bikes as they were deeper than the clearance between the wheel base and the pegs. No one was jumping anything by the time the finals were underway.

Jessica, congratulations on your 2010 AMA Women's National MX Championship. You walked away with some amazing trophies from this summer's race wins .... where do you put all those great awards, and what does it mean to you when you see them? Thanks Annj. I usually go straight to my parents house and drop them all off and let my mom decorate the house with them. But recently she told me that I have started to bring home too many, and to figure out where to put them at my place because her place is now full. Her suggestion to me was to rent a storage unit if I didn?t want to keep them all over the house. They are all just hanging out at her house right now, and eventually when I decide where I want to move, then I will take them with me and start the decorating. To see the trophies is pretty cool. It is what I have been working so hard for, and after struggling for for two years and now coming back and winning the championship in 2010, it makes it that much better. Seeing that I have all those number 1 trophies from each race except for two, it reminds me of how good of a year it really was, so it makes me really happy and makes me want to keep pushing.
